100 years of musical theatre

LWMS was 100 years old in 2021! We began our celebrations with the launch of a centenary book, What We Did For Love, in May, followed by the unveiling of a Centenary Painting and painting at our home in the Royal Spa Centre on 11th September. On 18th September, we held a launch party, Journey to the Past featuring song, dance and dinner. After Evita, we had a Centenary Grand Ball in May 2022.

What We Did For Love

We published a 112 page, full-colour commemorative book, available from local bookshops as well as on this site. Compiled and written by Mark Thorburn, What We Did For Love lovingly describes every one of our 96 shows to date. With many colour photos, reproduction programme covers, details of production costs, and memories from members, it's a jewel-box of a read. You can order it now!
